About This Role

We are seeking an engaging and enthusiastic Afterschool Teacher to join our youth programming team in Caldwell, OH. In this role, you will lead recreational and academic activities for students after regular school hours, ensuring a safe, constructive, and fun environment. You will supervise students, guide them through homework assignments, and facilitate group projects that promote social and emotional growth.

Daily work hours from 2:00-6:00 with flexibility. Hiring timeline URGENT

What You'll Do

• Supervise children safely during all afterschool hours and recreational activities
• Work the daily schedule from 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, with room for flexibility based on center needs
• Assist students with homework completion and reinforce core academic concepts
• Lead engaging extracurricular activities, including arts and crafts, sports, and STEM projects
• Foster positive social interactions, team-building, and conflict-resolution skills among students
• Maintain clear communication with parents regarding student behavior and program schedules

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification, High school Junior or Senior Level
• Experience supervising or teaching children in a camp, afterschool, or childcare setting
• Excellent communication skills and an energetic, patient demeanor
• Ability to join the team on an URGENT timeline and complete required onboarding quickly
• Ability to pass standard state background checks for childcare professionals

Nice To Haves

• Degree or coursework in early childhood education, elementary education, or a related field
