About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional at DEBO, you will play a vital role in delivering highquality, personcentered support to individuals with developmental disabilities. You’ll assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and help participants work toward meaningful personal goals. This position is available for both parttime and fulltime candidates who value teamwork, initiative, and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participant Support Provide direct care in home and community settings, ensuring safety, dignity, and respect.
  • Daily Living Assistance Support participants with personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, and medication routines.
  • Individualized Plans Implement personalized care plans that reflect each participant’s strengths, needs, and goals.
  • Community Engagement Encourage participation in community activities and help build social and communication skills.
  • Documentation Maintain accurate, timely records of services provided and participant progress.
  • Team Collaboration Work closely with colleagues to ensure a coordinated, holistic approach to care.
  • Core Values Demonstrate initiative, reliability, and a commitment to going above and beyond for those we serve.

Qualifications

  • Certifications in healthcare or related fields are a plus.
  • Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or a strong passion for the work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to making a positive impact.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Minimum Age Requirement Must be at least 19 years of age to meet state supportstaff eligibility standards.
