Quality Control Manager

Solar Gaines is seeking a Quality Control Manager who will oversee diligence and quality control at various critical touch points throughout the project development and deployment process, beginning with site visits to assess PV installation, and culminating in construction quality inspections and final handoff review.

Responsibilities

  • Perform multiple audits/site visits tomonitorthe quality of the installation for all commercial projects in the assigned region.

  • Work with CMs, PEs and, PMs to review submittals, drawings, and RFI’s from subcontractors for project specific materials, value engineering, and design.

  • Work with Subcontractors tomonitorqualityof all installation methods and ensure that installations arebeing completedaccording to QAQC guidelines, technical specifications, host site specifications, and industry standards.

  • Perform QC monitoring of all civil, mechanical, and electrical components of the installations.

  • Use video/photograph and other technologies to report/retrieve data on all aspects of installation for quality and compliance.

  • Conduct regular and final visual walk-throughs to ensure the project has been completed to specifications, drawings, and QAQCprogram.

  • Generate QAQC reports and punch lists

  • Audit subcontractor QAQC documentation


Qualifications/Requirements/Desired Characteristics

  • Exceptional Communication Skills

  • QAQC experience in the solar industry

  • Strong electrical background specific to the solar industry

  • Strong knowledge of solar racking systems

  • Ability to work remotely and independently, and be a self-starter

  • General Construction experience

  • High levelof project construction knowledge and subcontractor relationships

  • Ability to travel to local job sites within MD,PAand surrounding areas (vehicle provided)

  • 5 years of experience in solar construction or equivalent

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Ability to adapt to new software and technologies

  • Qualification in Engineering, Construction, or Electrical Systems preferred

  • Procore experience preferred
