Life & Health Insurance Specialist – State Farm Agent Team Member
Position Overview
Our State Farm agency is seeking a motivated, professional, and fully licensed Life & Health Insurance Specialist to join our team.
This position is designed for an experienced insurance professional who holds an active Florida 2-15 Life, Health & Variable Annuity license and is comfortable having meaningful conversations with customers about life insurance, health-related insurance products, and financial protection needs.
The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, organized, confident discussing insurance solutions, and able to identify opportunities to help customers protect their families, income, and financial future.
This is a full-time position with an emphasis on life and health insurance production, customer needs analysis, follow-up, and relationship development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct conversations with new and existing customers to identify life and health insurance needs.
- Educate customers on available life and health insurance products and coverage options.
- Provide accurate, professional, and needs-based insurance recommendations within licensing and company guidelines.
- Develop life insurance opportunities from the agency’s existing book of business.
- Follow up on leads, referrals, customer inquiries, and identified insurance needs.
- Schedule and conduct Insurance & Financial Review appointments when appropriate.
- Prepare life and health insurance quotes and applications.
- Assist customers throughout the application and underwriting process.
- Follow up on outstanding underwriting requirements and pending applications.
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer conversations, recommendations, applications, and follow-up activity.
- Build long-term customer relationships through consistent communication and exceptional service.
- Work with the agent and agency leadership to establish and achieve mutually agreed-upon production goals.
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional insurance products and services based on customer needs.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable products, underwriting guidelines, compliance requirements, and agency procedures.
- Participate in agency meetings, training, coaching, and professional development.

Previous life insurance sales, financial services, health insurance, or insurance agency experience is strongly preferred.
Schedule
- Full-time position
- Monday through Friday
- Daytime office hours
- Occasional flexibility may be required to accommodate customer appointments

- Active Florida 2-15 Life, Health & Variable Annuity license required
- Life and health insurance knowledge
