Fast-growing mobile automotive repair business seeking an independent Mobile Automotive Technician / Mechanic (1099 Contractor) to handle on-site diagnostics and repairs across Collin and Denton counties (McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Carrollton, and surrounding North DFW areas).
No shop politics, flat-rate games, or sitting around unpaid. We handle 100% of the customer acquisition, advertising, phone sales, parts ordering, and dispatch logistics. You show up, perform the diagnostic or repair, and get paid weekly.
What We Offer:
• High Weekly Earning Potential: 40% – 50% commission per job + 100% of customer tips (Est. $1,200 – $2,000+/week based on volume).
• High Inbound Volume: Steady stream of pre-qualified, ready-to-buy mobile repair jobs.
• Flexible Scheduling: Full-time routes or supplemental/overflow days available.
• Field Support: Direct communication with dispatch and lead tech support.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Travel to customer locations (homes, offices, parking lots) to perform accurate diagnostics and quality repairs.
• Common jobs include: Starters, Alternators, Batteries, Brakes, Water Pumps, Cooling Systems, and General Diagnostics/Sensors.
• Clearly communicate diagnostic findings and repair recommendations back to dispatch.
• Deliver professional, respectful customer service on-site.
Requirements:
• 2+ years of professional automotive repair experience (dealership, independent shop, or mobile).
• Must own a reliable work vehicle (truck, van, or SUV).
• Must own a full set of professional hand/power tools, floor jack/stands, and an OBD2 diagnostic scan tool.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• Punctual, reliable, and strong problem-solving skills.
