Monday–Friday | 6:30 AM–3:00 PM

GSC Power-Division engineers and manufactures some of the highest-quality performance camshafts and valvetrain components in the world. Our products are used in championship-winning race cars and high-performance street cars across the globe.

We're looking for a CNC Machine Operator who takes pride in precision, craftsmanship and producing quality parts.

This is a hands-on manufacturing position working with CNC lathes, mills, grinders and secondary equipment in our North Charleston facility. You'll be responsible for keeping equipment running efficiently, performing setups and changeovers, inspecting parts and helping maintain the quality standards our customers expect from GSC.

We're looking for someone with CNC experience, but we're also willing to train the right candidate who brings strong mechanical aptitude, reliability and a genuine desire to learn.

What You'll Do

  • Operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders and secondary manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform machine setups and changeovers efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete daily machine warm-up and shutdown procedures.
  • Monitor machine operation to maintain consistent production and part quality.
  • Load raw material and finished components into semi-automated equipment.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools.
  • Identify and report quality, tooling and machine issues.
  • Manage multiple machines within a production cell.
  • Follow established setup sheets, work instructions and production procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
  • Work with other operators and manufacturing personnel to keep production moving.
  • Apply CNC programming knowledge when needed, particularly OKUMA OSP controls.
  • Use FANUC and G-code knowledge where applicable.

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of CNC machining experience, including some machine setup experience preferred.
  • Experience operating CNC lathes is particularly valuable.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining processes and precision manufacturing.
  • OKUMA OSP programming knowledge is preferred.
  • FANUC control and G-code familiarity is a plus.
  • Ability to use precision measuring and inspection tools.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
  • Reliable, adaptable and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting other members of the production team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or machining training is a plus.

Don't have extensive CNC experience yet? We're willing to train motivated candidates who demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, reliability and a desire to develop a career in precision manufacturing.

An interest in automotive performance and machining is a plus, but it isn't required.

Physical & Safety Requirements

  • Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to perform repetitive manufacturing tasks safely and consistently.
  • Must follow all company and machine safety procedures.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check if requested.
