Job Overview:
This role is vital in the runningofthe Sheltersof the City Rescue Mission.TheCoordinatoroversees guests while they are in the shelter, ensuring acalm flow of guests throughout the scheduleofthe shift. TheCoordinatormust be friendly and encouraging whilemaintainingshelter policy andprocedure withconsistency and firmness. TheCoordinatormust also be able to complete tasks independently and accurately while staying calm under pressure.
Expected Schedule-2nd shift available. 2nd shift works 4pm-9pm or 5pm to 10pm.

The ShelterCoordinator will need to be able to consistently work in a noisy anddistraction-filledenvironment. Thecoordinator’stask will occasionally require them to work in low temperatures,high temperatures, outdoor elements (e.g.rain, wind, snow),and small/enclosed spaces.
Physical Requirements-
Thebelow listed abilitiesare required tobe able to complete the essential duties of the role:
The Shelter Coordinator will need to be able to constantly navigate stairs-quickly and proficiently navigatingup to 3flights of stairs whenever needed. They will constantly need to be able to lift 25lbs in all directionsand will occasionally need to lift 50+lbs in all directions.They will need to be able to complete 1-2 hours of physically taxing work without a break and stand or walk for 3+hours without sitting down.They will occasionally need to complete 3+ hours of physically taxing work withoutabreakand be able tomove with haste/light jogfor 500ft.
The Shelter Coordinator will need to be able to constantly complete visual scans of indoor/outdoor areas in varying levels of light. They will need to occasionally complete tasks with repetitive motions that include thewrists,handsand/or fingers. They will need to be able to constantly communicate clearly with others to exchange information.
