Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving incoming shipments, preparing outbound orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will work closely with the Logistics Coordinator.

Shipping Responsibilities

· Prepare, package, and ship customer orders accurately and on time.

· Generate shipping labels and bills of lading using carrier software.

· Schedule freight pickups and coordinate deliveries.

· Verify shipment contents against packing lists and purchase orders.

· Package equipment securely to prevent shipping damage.

· Maintain shipping records and tracking information.

· Communicate shipment status, delays, or issues with the Logistics Coordinator and other departments.

Receiving Responsibilities

· Receive, inspect, and unload incoming deliveries.

· Verify quantities and inspect for damaged or missing items.

· Match received goods with purchase orders and packing slips.

· Notify Purchasing and the Logistics Coordinator of discrepancies or damaged shipments.

· Label and organize inventory.

· Enter received inventory into the inventory management system.

Inventory Control

· Maintain accurate inventory counts.

· Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.

· Monitor inventory levels and report shortages.

· Organize warehouse shelves and storage areas.

Warehouse Operations

· Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and warehouse equipment.

· Load and unload company vehicles.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.

· Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.

Team Collaboration

· Assist with urgent shipments and last-minute logistics requests.

Communicate inventory shortages, shipping delays, and scheduling conflicts proactively.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting.

Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.

Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and material handling devices.
