The Bucket Truck Operator/Tree Climber plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing landscapes by performing tree pruning, trimming, removal, and land clearing projects, often responding to storm damage. Working as part of a crew, this position requires skilled operation of bucket trucks and/or climbing techniques to safely and effectively manage tree care tasks using specialized equipment and tools.
Responsibilities
- Operate bucket trucks for elevated access during tree work
- Perform safe and efficient tree climbing for pruning and removal
- Maintain equipment including chainsaws and safety gear
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
- Collaborate effectively with team members on-site
Required Qualifications
- Drivers license
- 6 months experience in tree care industry
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in bucket truck operation and tree climbing techniques
- Experienced in chainsaw operation and safety compliance
- Strong communication skills to support team coordination
- Class A or B CDL preferred
