Responsibilities:
Coordinating the daily operations of the foundry including, but not limited to, production, maintenance, on-time deliveries, and personnel matters:
- Plan and execute daily production based on both weekly/monthly production schedules and change orders supplied.
- Responsible for all on time deliveries to customers.
- Ability to perform all operations in the plant when the need arises to get the job done.
- Develops and implements standard processes within the foundry.
- Solves production problems and implements corrective actions.
- Works with sales to develop estimates.
- Reviews all foundry work orders.
- Familiar with pattern engineering (layout, gating and risers).
- Maintains all required records. Interfaces on a timely basis with Owner to report any issues with Employees or Production.
- Requisition foundry supplies on a weekly basis.
- Assists with hiring process: trains, supervises, disciplines, and evaluates employees.
- Supervises all personnel. Issue all warnings and take disciplinary action when necessary.
- Ensure all company rules, regulations, policies and procedures, including safety rules, are adhered to by all employees.
- Leads the safety effort, including the company safety committee, within organization.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
