Responsibilities
- Train and develop cooks to company standards
- Hiring and Firing/ Scheduling
- Anticipate ingredient needs and arrange re-stock accordingly. Pay close attention to food costs.
- Ensure a productive kitchen flow that upholds business standards. Pay close attention to labor costs.
- Working with owners to ensure a safe, productive environment
Qualifications
- Experience working as a sous chef or chef
- Experience expediting in high volume kitchen
- High familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines
- Able to delegate tasks effectively and assist when needed
- Adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume
