Route 66 Cafe in Clinton, Oklahoma, is hiring a dependable full-time line cook/plate cook to help keep our kitchen moving.

This position is responsible for finishing plates, checking every order for accuracy and presentation, preparing menu items, coordinating with the cooking line, and ensuring food reaches guests hot, complete, and looking right. You will work with our kitchen team in a busy, scratch-made restaurant where speed matters, but quality comes first.

Responsibilities:

• Plate and finish meals according to restaurant standards
• Check tickets for correct portions, sides, sauces, and special requests
• Prepare and cook menu items as assigned
• Coordinate orders between cooks and front-of-house employees
• Keep the window organized during busy service
• Stock and prepare the station before and during each shift
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, and temperature standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with prep, dishes, and other kitchen duties when needed
• Communicate clearly and remain calm under pressure

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow recipes, portions, and presentation standards
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
• Willing to work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Restaurant experience preferred, but we will train the right person
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required

Route 66 Cafe is a locally owned, veteran-owned restaurant located in Clinton, Oklahoma. We are known for scratch-made comfort food and a kitchen that stays busy. We work hard, move quickly, help one another, and still manage to have some fun while doing it.
