Salary:Rangebased on education, experience, and licensure or certification

  • Master’s Degree: $60,000/annually + every other Friday off paid
  • Master’s Degree + LPC, LSW, or CADC: $64,000/annually + every other Friday off paid
  • Master’s Degree + LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT: $67,000/annually + every other Friday off paid
  • Sign On Bonus Eligible for one-year commitment

Schedule:Full-Time | Every other Friday off (paid wellness day)

Your Role:

Therapist – Heritage Behavioral Health Center (Decatur, Illinois)
As a Therapist at Heritage Behavioral Health Center, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health services to individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorders. You will play a key role in helping clients achieve recovery and improve their quality of life through individualized treatment planning, counseling, and therapeutic interventions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct screenings, assessments, and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and client goals.
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based practices.
  • Deliver therapy services that address mental health and substance use challenges.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, person-centered care.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and provide support during acute episodes.
  • Engage in community resources coordination to support recovery and wellness.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented practices.
  • Skills in conducting comprehensive assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and developing treatment plans.
  • Strong counseling and therapy skills, including motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
  • Ability to build therapeutic relationships and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health record systems.
