Summary:

TheBear Real Estate Group is hiring for a Leasing Consultant for our beautiful property,Vista at Creeksidelocated in Pleasant Prairie, WI.The Leasing Consultant is the front-line ambassador of the community and is responsible for delivering a superior customer service experience to prospects and residents. This role focuses on leasing performance, tour-to-lease conversion, accurate application processing, resident communication, and maintaining a polished, tour-ready environment. The Leasing Consultant supports occupancy goals by building trust, following up consistently, and creating an exceptional experience at every touchpoint.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Superior Customer Service and Sales

  • Create a warm, professional, high-energy experience for every prospect and residentphone, email, text, and in person
  • Deliver outstanding property tours that highlight features, benefits, and lifestyle; tailor tours to prospect needs and close for the lease
  • Follow up promptly and persistently with leads using company standards (same-day responsiveness, clear communication, documented touchpoints)
  • Handle questions, concerns, and objections with empathy and solutions-focused professionalism
  • Support resident retention by reinforcing a positive living experience and escalating concerns appropriately

Lead Management, Leasing Pipeline, and Conversions

  • Manage incoming leads daily from all sources (website, ILS, phone, walk-ins, referrals) and maintain accurate CRM/property management entries
  • Maintain prospect pipeline activity (appointments set/kept, follow-up, conversion notes) to support occupancy goals
  • Present pricing, availability, specials, and lease terms clearly and accurately; ensure a consistent presentation aligned with company standards
  • Prepare and process lease paperwork accurately and on time, including addendums and required disclosures

Application Processing and Screening Support

  • Collect and review application documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Coordinate screening steps per policy (identity verification, income documentation, rental history, etc.) and ensure consistent, fair application of criteria
  • Communicate next steps to applicants and keep them informed throughout the process
  • Maintain organized records and ensure files are complete for move-ins

Move-In Excellence and Resident Onboarding

  • Deliver a strong move-in experience: scheduling, welcome communication, keys/access, utilities guidance, and expectations review
  • Coordinate with maintenance and management to confirm the home is rent-ready and meets company standards before move-in
  • Ensure resident information is entered accurately and that all required documents are signed and retained

Marketing Support and Tour Readiness

  • Maintain a clean, welcoming leasing office and model/tour path at all times
  • Perform daily curb appeal and tour-ready checks; report issues and coordinate with maintenance/management for quick resolution
  • Support outreach and local marketing efforts (events, employer outreach, resident referral initiatives, social media/content as assigned)
  • Assist with ensuring online listings and community information are accurate and current (photos, specials, availability, messaging)

Administrative Accuracy and Team Collaboration

  • Maintain accurate documentation in the property management system (guest cards, notes, appointments, application status, lease documentation)
  • Support the site team with administrative tasks as assigned (reports, resident communications, package process, etc.)
  • Collaborate respectfully with teammates and vendors; escalate issues quickly and appropriately
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism with resident and company information

Other

  • Follow Fair Housing laws and company policies consistently and document interactions appropriately
  • Comply with all safety and emergency procedures; promptly report incidents, hazards, and concerns
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb stairs, and inspect interior/exterior areas
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Work may include evenings, weekends, and emergency response situations
  • Frequent computer use required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Must have 1+ years of multi-housing experience. (Affordable/LIHTC experience preferred)
  • Strong Fair Housing knowledge required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in RealPage/OneSite or comparable property management software
  • Proficiency in in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
