About the role
We are seeking an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer focused on hands-on field commissioning for pharmaceutical manufacturing and utilities. This role supports PLC/DCS and Emerson DeltaV-based control systems. Emerson DeltaV experience is helpful but not required. Pharmaceutical experience is useful but not required. The position requires strong teamwork with electrical, automation/controls, and process professionals, and strong ability to interpret engineering drawings in the field.

Responsibilities
- Performhands-oncommissioningsupportatcustomersites,including:
- SATactivities,
- start-upsupport,
- troubleshootingandissueresolutioninthefield.
- SupportFATreadinessandtestingactivitiesatthefactory/shopasneeded(travelrequired).
- Useengineeringdrawingsanddocumentationtosupportinstallationchecksandcommissioningexecution,including:
- wiring/interconnectunderstanding,
- instrument/loopchecks,
- controllogicandpanel/IO-relatedinterpretation.
- Troubleshootinstrumentationandcontrolsproblemsduringcommissioningandstart-up,partneringwithsiteteamsandvendors.
- Executepoint-to-pointchecks,loopchecks,andfunctionaltestingasdirectedbycommissioning/testprocedures.
- Coordinatecloselywithcross-functionalteams(electrical,automation/controls,andprocess)duringcommissioningactivitiestodriveissuestoclosure.
- Maintainclearfielddocumentationincludingredlines,punchlists,testresults,troubleshootinglogs,andpunchclosuresupport.
- Followsitesafetyrequirementsandsupportsafefieldexecution(permits,accesscoordination,andworkpractices).
Qualifications
- 5-15yearsofexperienceininstrumentation/controlsand/orindustrialautomationwithastrongcommissioningand/orfieldexecutionbackground.
- DemonstratedexperiencewithPLC/DCS-stylecontrolsandcommissioning(fieldcommissioningexperienceisstronglyvalued).
- Abilitytointerpretengineeringdrawingsandusethemeffectivelyinthefield.
- Proventeamplayermindsetworkingwithelectrical,automation/controls,andprocessprofessionals.
- WillingnessandabilitytotraveltoseveralUSsitesforFAT,start-up,andSAT.
Preferred
- FamiliaritywithEmersonDeltaV(helpfulbutnotrequired).
- Somepharmaceuticalexperienceand/orfamiliaritywithGMPexpectations(helpful).
- Somecollegeeducationispreferred(a4-yeardegreeisnotrequired).
