We are seekinga highly motivated Materials Engineer for a Corporate team in Rutland VT. The Materials Engineer will support product development, manufacturing processes, quality initiatives, and customer applications byleveragingexpertisein materials science and engineering. This role works cross-functionally with R&D, Sales, Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Procurement to develop, improve, andoptimizeproducts and processes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technicalexpertisein materialselection, characterization, testing, and performance evaluation.
  • Support the development and improvement of insulation materials, laminates, composites, and related products.
  • Analyze material properties and manufacturing processes to improve product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with R&D teams on new product development and product enhancement projects.
  • Investigate production issues,identifyroot causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop andmaintainmaterial specifications, testing procedures, and technical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relatedfield.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience interpreting technical data and laboratory test results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience with composites, laminates, electrical insulation materials, polymers, adhesives, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Manufacturing environment experience.
