Up to 6 Days per Week Days per week, 40 Hours per week, 12 Months per year

General Description

Teachers promote and advance the social, emotional, physical, linguistic, and cognitive development and learning of infants and toddlers. Teachers are expected to provide a successful, safe, and supervised educational setting in the classroom and outdoor play areas; develop individual goals for children, provide on-going assessment on progress and facilitate transition into educational setting. Teachers encourage parent engagement in the development and growth of their child. In addition, teachers are expected to complete a professional development plan that may include university credentials.

  • You are a personable, energetic, and empathetic leader who can manage multiple staff, managers, and multiple projects in a prior project in a prioritized manner to meet our internal Urban Strategies goals of all current Head Start Performance Standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Child Development with Infant and Toddler Development
  • Minimum two (2) years of successful experience as an infant/toddler teacher or caregiver - 12 grades.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Texas State Teacher Certification
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, holidays, and weekends.
  • Able to supervise clients indoors and outdoors.
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License, Personal Vehicle, and Liability Insurance required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Early Childhood Education models and standards.
