Job Title: Cook / Food Service Worker
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
Pay Rate: $21/hr.-$23/hr.
Hours: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3:00pm
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of commercial food service experience
- Knowledge of food preparation, safety, and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate kitchen and cleaning equipment safely
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Cook / Food Service Worker to prepare, cook, and serve meals for patients, staff, and visitors. The Cook / Food Service Worker will ensure meals meet high standards for quality, taste, appearance, food safety, and sanitation while providing exceptional service in a healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals for patients, staff, and visitors
- Maintain high standards for food quality, taste, and presentation
- Follow Department of Health, AHCA, Joint Commission, and organizational food safety standards
- Maintain compliance with applicable state and federal regulations
- Operate kitchen and cleaning equipment safely
- Perform dietary administrative tasks as needed
- Provide courteous, face-to-face customer service and accommodate special requests when possible
- Communicate effectively with food service team members
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work environment
- Follow all departmental policies and procedures
