Landscape Crew Leader

JOB SUMMARY

ALandscape Crew Leader isasupervisorposition that isresponsible forexecuting landscape plans, managing the project, and developing productive relationships with customers.Some LandscapeCrew Membersmay specialize in either enhancement or maintenance work, but all LandscapeCrew Leadersshould be willing and able to perform either enhancement or maintenance work at the discretion of their supervisor. All employees are expected to carry out the company’spurpose anddemonstrateour core values.

As aLandscape Crew LeaderatSchill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:

1. Execute projects such as hardscapes, outdoor lighting, and landscape/lawn installations from a landscape plan.
2. Manage the entire scope of our projects including job layout, materials, and required paperwork.
3. Use various equipment including skid steer, mini excavator, sod cutters, bush hogs, brick saws, transits, and various hand tools.
4. Drive a commercial vehicle and pull a trailer.
5. Manage, develop, and effectively communicate with your crew.
6. Develop andmaintainlong-term relationships with our customers.
7. Supervisea snow zone during the winter including managing crews, location, and quality control.
8. Follow all company policies and procedures.
9. Perform any other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Valid driver’s licensewith acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standards

Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

One year of experience leading landscape crews

Must have advanced mowing equipment experience

Previousexperience setting up commercial mowing sites, preferred

Strong computer skillsand the ability to adapt to new software programs

Must be able to move and/orlift upto 60 pounds consistently

WORK CONDITIONS

Employees performing this jobshould be able and willing to drive or travel locallyif needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays toparticipateinsnow removal activities. This position will require working outdoors invariousweather conditions including rain, snow, sun, extreme cold, or heat.
