Supports the operation and readiness of C-17 training devices.
Assists with setup, configuration, and preparation of training devices for scheduled lessons.
Supports cargo loading and unloading training activities and associated equipment.
Performs routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
Identifies equipment discrepancies and assists with troubleshooting and repairs.
Operates and maintains applicable cargo handling, material handling, and support equipment.
Assists with equipment movement, positioning, and configuration as required.
Maintains accurate equipment and maintenance documentation.
Coordinates with instructors and maintenance personnel to support training requirements.
Maintains a safe and clean training environment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Candidate must currently be sitting in the position to be considered for this role.
Candidate must currently be performing the duties and responsibilities associated with the position.
Position requires a Technical College Degree or certificate in mechanical, automotive, electrical, aviation maintenance, logistics, or a related technical field.
1 year of related hands-on experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and related work experience totaling a minimum of 2 years.
Previous experience with aircraft cargo operations, loadmaster support, material handling, military vehicles, heavy equipment, or training devices is preferred.
Must be able to safely operate applicable support and material handling equipment.
Must be able to lift and move equipment and materials as required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
Must be willing to work any shift or day of the week as required.
