Job Title:Cloud Solutions Engineer - Data (Azure/Fabric)
Location:National Harbor, MD (Hybrid)
Type:Full Time
Compensation: $100,000 to $140,000 Annually,subject to experience– plus a performance bonus of up to 10% of annual salary, paid in quarterly increments

Cloudforce is seeking an experienced engineer to join our growing data practice. You'll be designing, building, and maintaining sophisticated data solutions on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric for high-profile clients across the US and Europe working on projects that are technically demanding and genuinely consequential. This isn't a role where you'll be maintaining someone else's pipelines or responding to tickets. You'll be architecting solutions from the ground up, translating complex business data requirements into scalable, reliable architectures, and contributing to a practice that's at the forefront AI and of the Microsoft data platform.
You'll bring deep expertise in Azure data services, strong hands-on experience with data engineering tools and frameworks, and the communication skills to work effectively with both technical teams and client stakeholders. Like all engineering at Cloudforce, this is a team-oriented role you'll work alongside fellow engineers as part of structured project teams, with a clear path forward for those who want to grow.
Design, develop, migrate, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on Microsoft Fabric and utilize Azure data & analytics resources.
Designand implement data integration processes to extract, transform, and load(ETL)datafromvarious sourcesboth on-prem, external 3rdparty applications, and other cloud providers.
Understand, design and implement data solutions following industry standard architecturalframeworks such as Data Mesh, Data Lake, DataFabricand Data Warehouse architectures.
Design and implementindustry standard data modeling techniques forsemanticmodelingfor Power BI such as “Star” or “Snowflake” schemas.
Create data processing workflows and pipelines to support data analytics, machine learning, and otheranalytic-driven applications.
Implement CI/CD pipelines forautomatingdata engineering processes using Azure DevOpsor GitHub.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement effective data integration solutions.
Set up monitoring solutions using Azure Monitor,Azure Log Analytics, Fabric Data Activator, and other Azure solutionsto track the performance of data pipelinesor analytics workflowsto ensure data quality, integrity,and performance.
Work withcloudsecurityteams tosetup and configure various Microsoft security solutionssuch as Purview and Sentineltomonitorand alertsecurity and compliance best practicesthroughout the data& analyticslifecycle.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of data solutions to ensuretheaccuracy, completeness, and reliability of the delivered data products.
Implement,optimize, andmaintaincost-effective data& analyticssolutions byleveragingAzure Cost Management tools and best practices.
Stayupdatedon industry regulations and implement necessary changes tomaintaincompliance.
3+ years of experiencewithdata engineering,particularly in Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric.
Proficiencyin Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Blob Storage.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server tools, includingSSIS and SSAS.
Experience with dataengineeringprocesses using Apache Spark, Python, R, T-SQL,or KQL.
Experience withgenerating Semantic Models.
Familiarity withMicrosoft Power BI for data visualization.
Passion for staying updated on industry trends and emerging data engineering and cloud computing technologies.
Strong communicationskills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Databricks, Datafit, Snowflake, or DataLakes.
Experiencewith real-time analytics technologies such as Azure IoT Hub, Fabric Real-Time Analytics, or Kafka.
Bachelor'sdegree in Computer Science, Data Engineering,Information Technology,or related field.
