Job Description

The Lead Infant Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and educational environment for infants, guiding their early development through carefully designed curriculum and attentive care. This role requires expertise in early childhood education combined with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents and staff. The Lead Infant Teacher ensures a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom atmosphere that promotes the well-being and growth of each child.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum for infants
  • Supervise and manage the classroom environment to ensure safety and engagement
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding child progress and needs
  • Assess and document infant development and behavior for reporting purposes
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and procedures
  • Manage behavior with patience and understanding, fostering positive interactions
  • Keep accurate and organized records of daily activities and child progress

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in early childhood education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Child Development Associate credential or related certification
  • Background in early childhood education and curriculum planning
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of child development principles
  • Excellent communication and patience
