We are seeking a detail-oriented Pathology Assistant to support pathologists in the examination, processing, and documentation of surgical and tissue specimens. Responsibilities:
- Assist with gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens
- Accession, label, and process tissue specimens
- Prepare and document specimen descriptions and measurements
- Submit tissue sections for histologic examination
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and reports
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Assist with specimen tracking, storage, and disposal
- Support laboratory quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain laboratory supplies and equipment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or related field required
- PA(ASCP) certification preferred
- Previous pathology, histology, or laboratory experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
