About the Role: Mina Abadeer DPM PC is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice in Hackensack, NJ. Responsibilities:- Assist the podiatrist with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and room patients, recording vital signs and medical histories
- Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and exam room supplies
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and coordinate referrals
- Handle patient check-in/check-out and verify insurance information
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR)
- Communicate with patients regarding follow-up care and instructions
Requirements:- High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred
- Prior experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
- Familiarity with podiatry or specialty medical practice is a plus
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
