Dialysis Technician

Position Summary

The Dialysis Technician provides direct patient care and technical support during dialysis treatments within a clinical healthcare setting. This role is responsible for preparing dialysis equipment, monitoring patients throughout treatment, documenting patient information, maintaining equipment and infection control standards, and supporting the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Qualifications

• Previous dialysis technician experience required
• Current CPR/BLS certification required
• Knowledge of hemodialysis procedures, infection control standards, and patient care practices
• Ability to monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately during dialysis-related emergencies
• Experience documenting patient care within EMR systems preferred
• Strong communication, observation, and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow detailed clinical protocols and safety procedures
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist patients as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in correctional healthcare, hospital, or clinical dialysis settings preferred
• Certification as a Dialysis Technician preferred
• Experience working within interdisciplinary healthcare teams preferred
