Security Officer - Ft. Wright

Location: Ft. Wright, Kentucky

Pay: $16.15 per hour probationary pay for the first 30 shifts, followed by $17.00 per hour for Officer 1, pending satisfactory evaluations/reviews. Bi-weekly pay.

Enjoy a consistent schedule with 3 days off every other weekend! We operate on a 2-2-3 rotating shift (56 hours minimum every 14 day pay period):

• Evening Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM

• Shift Pattern: Mon/Tue (ON), Wed/Thu (OFF), Fri/Sat/Sun (ON), Mon/Tue (OFF), Wed/Thu (ON), Fri/Sat/Sun (OFF) repeats indefinitely.

We are seeking a professional, high-energy Security Officer to join our dedicated team in Ft. Wright. In this role, you aren’t just a guard; you are a key part of the retail experience. You will provide a visible safety presence for shoppers and employees, providing top-tier customer service. This position is perfect for those who enjoy being active, as it requires frequent walking, and standing.

• Retail Patrol: Conduct frequent foot patrols of store entrances, back room, and sales floors to ensure a safe environment.

• Loss Prevention: Assist in deterring shoplifting and "shrink" through high-visibility presence and professional observation.

• Customer Interaction: Act as a helpful point of contact for shoppers, providing directions and assistance with a friendly demeanor.

• Incident Reporting: Use a smartphone/tablet to submit clear, digital reports regarding safety hazards, maintenance issues, or security incidents.

• De-escalation: Use verbal communication skills to manage difficult situations and maintain a calm shopping atmosphere.

• Equipment Management: Maintain and operate company equipment including two-way radios, and access cards.

• Age: Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

• Background: Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

• Physical: Ability to stand and walk for long periods (up to 8 hours) and lift/move up to 20 lbs.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written English skills for report writing and customer service.

• Reliability: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Ft. Wright area.
