Retail Pool Store Associate, you will be a key part of our customer-facing team, helping pool and spa owners find the right products and solutions. This role combines customer service, retail sales, technical knowledge, and light warehouse work in a friendly, fast-paced environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service and build rapport with regular clients
- Conduct in-store water testing and interpret results using digital software
- Recommend appropriate chemical treatments and maintenance plans
- Educatecustomers on pool care, product usage, and equipment troubleshooting
- Ensure store shelves are stocked, organized, and clean
- Receive and check in product shipments; manage inventory as needed
- Operate the cash register, handle transactions, and balance cash drawers
- Support promotional efforts and store merchandising strategies
- Participate in training on new products and safety procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
- 1+ year experience in retail or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingnessto learn about water chemistry and pool equipment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
- Must be able to lift 50lbsand be on your feet for most of the shift
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with pool/spa products or prior experience in the pool industry
- Bilingual skills (Spanish/English)
- Forklift certification or warehouse experience (for larger stores)
