Quality Engineer – Precision Manufacturing (Aerospace & Medical)
Location: Brook Park, OH FullTime | Modern, ClimateControlled Facility
A growing precision machining manufacturer is seeking a Quality Engineer to support tighttolerance production for aerospace, medical, defense, and other highspec industries. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys handson quality work, problemsolving on the floor, and leading continuous improvement in a fastpaced, highmix machining environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support ISO 9001 / AS9100 quality activities, including internal audits, corrective actions, and documentation
- Perform firstarticle, inprocess, and final inspections on tighttolerance machined components
- Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation
- Work closely with machinists, programmers, and leadership to resolve quality issues and improve processes
- Support customer and supplier quality requirements, including PPAP, FAIRs, and traceability documentation
- Analyze nonconformances, lead rootcause investigations, and implement corrective/preventive actions
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives across machining, inspection, and documentation workflows
What You Need
- 2–5 years of experience in quality engineering or precision inspection
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 / AS9100 requirements and audit processes
- Experience with tighttolerance machining (aerospace, medical, or defense preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
- Handson experience with inspection tools; CMM experience preferred
- Strong documentation, communication, and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highmix, lowvolume environment
