PARATRANSIT DRIVER (Brooklyn)
Starting Pay: $25.00/hr.
JOB DUTIES:
- Safely transport ambulatory and wheelchair passengers to and from scheduled destinations.
- Pick up and drop off passengers according to assigned schedules and routes.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed.
- Operate a passenger transit vehicle safely throughout New York City's five boroughs.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate trip and passenger documentation.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Pick up assigned vehicle from the Brooklyn garage at the start of each shift and return it at the end of the workday.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to passengers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- CDL Class A, B, or C License with Passenger Endorsement.
- Ability to operate a 7-passenger Ford Transit Van.
- Ability to transport both ambulatory and wheelchair passengers safely.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of New York City's five boroughs and roadways preferred.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with open availability.
