Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, serving elementary-aged students in a dynamic educational setting near Alabaster, AL. This contract assignment allows you to make meaningful contributions alongside a supportive team, providing direct services at an elementary campuswith the possibility of supervising an additional site depending on caseload needs.

Qualifications and Licensure:

  • Active Alabama SLP license required
  • SLP-CCC certification preferred
  • ALSDE SLP Certification mandatory
  • Experience working in school settings, especially with elementary students, is a strong asset
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student outcomes
  • Maintain detailed progress notes and comply with all regulatory standards
  • Adapt therapy methods based on evolving caseload and student needs
  • Provide support across one or two campuses as caseload dictates

Role Details and Schedule:

  • Contract runs from August 12, 2026, through May 20, 2027
  • 28 hours per week across 4-5 daysoffering work-life balance
  • Caseload numbers to be determined prior to assignment
  • Elementary school focus
