Job Summary and Qualifications

Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides care needed as described in the departmental policies and procedures. Provides health care services applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs Ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the following area: OB/GYN, Abdomen, Neurosonology, Peripheral Vascular, and Echocardiograph. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor that reflects a high standard of medical ethics. Recognizes conditions essential for the successful completion of procedures. Provides appropriate health care services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

• Maintains all required continuing education for certification and licensure
• Performs Ultrasound exams and procedures in a timely and professional manner
• Demonstrates knowledge in anatomy to obtain the best images for the Radiologists
• Performs service recovery for ultimate patient experience
• Verifies the order and consults with Radiologists if there is questions
• Review patients medical history prior to imaging the patient
• Maintains knowledge and is able to demonstrate the process for High Level Disinfection for transvaginal probes
• Functions as a team player
• Follows all policies for patient safety and the care of that patient
• Performs invasive procedures with the Radiologists
• Demonstrate and support the MountainView Hospital customer service philosophy.
• Demonstrate and support Columbia/HCA’s Code of Conduct philosophy.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED
• Registered or registry eligible for no more than twelve (12) months in one (1) of the following: A.R.R.T. or A.R.D.M.S
• Current CPR certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS).
