Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 10 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Colorado license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Unit Details: Total # of Unit Beds/Suites/Deliveries: 82 beds (all private) Nursing ratios are an estimate made in good faith and may vary by department/facility demands This position is IVS to Manager.
Shift & Scheduling: Self-Scheduling: Modified, request process via internal scheduling committee Call Requirements: None Weekend Requirement: 16 weekend shifts in a 13-week contract (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) Holidays: Must work any holidays as needed for scheduling
Floating Requirements: 1st to float to LV7, LV8, LV9, CPCU, NICU & Network of Care
Required Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty Experience with trach/vent; EVD/lumbar drains; chest tubes; JP drains; central lines; TPN/Lipids; CPM/ortho/halo traction; colostomy/ileostomy/cecostomy/nephrostomy; TBI/Neuro assessments/seizure management; solid organ transplant (liver/kidney); trauma and rehab (rehab side relocating in December)
Equipment Used on Unit: Special Equipment: Medfusion & Baxter Sigma IV pumps Kangaroo feeding pumps CADD PCA Ventilators: VocSN (trach vent), plus 3 types available Respiratory support available 24/7 Anesthesia available as needed
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Unit-Specific Procedures and Protocols: RN starts IVs (team assistance available) Ketamine and heparin drips High-flow weaning (RN responsible)
Special Requests: RTO Policy: No RTO approved within the first two weeks of assignment RTO not requested at the time of submission may not be approved.
Facility holidays: 01/01/2025, 01/20/2025, 01/20/2025, 05/26/2025, 07/04/2025, 08/31/2025, 11/27/2025, 12/25/2025. Number of holidays allowed off: 0. Start assignment restriction: 14 days
