Location: Scottsdale, AZ 85258

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM

Full-time: Benefit Eligible

In this role, you will:

• Accurately accession patient specimens into the laboratory information system
• Provide support for pathologists, histology technicians, and gross technicians in the dermatology pathology lab
• Perform and document scheduled preventative maintenance on instruments and stain lines
• Correlate H&E and IHC slides for scanning and distribution
• Embed processed tissue specimens in paraffin blocks
• Prepare chemical and biological waste for removal
• File, retrieve and scan pathology materials for send out studies and specialized testing
• Answer phones and serve as a resource for clients and patients
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is:

• High School Diploma, minimum
• One year of laboratory training or experience is preferred, or qualified to receive on the job training
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms

Bonus points if you’ve got:

• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in a high volume laboratory with documented special stain and immunohistochemistry experience
