Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• Travel experience is preferred from any number of months.
• 3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Previous Employment Requirements: Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more, Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location
Required Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Accessing Ports, Arterial line management, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, PICC line management, IV START, Assist with Chest Tube Insertion/Removal, high Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC, interpretation of ABGs
Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience preferred but not required
Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit::The majority of patients served on 19 James are admitted with the following patient care needs: Continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration, Soft tissue malignancy receiving diagnostic services, chemotherapy and symptom management, Symptom management secondary to disease related treatment or progression, Management of comorbidities, Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics
Equipment Used on Unit: B450 monitors GE telemetry system, Bladder Scanner, Alaris pumps Stryker beds
Special Requests: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. no block schedule, All candidates must be made aware of the urgency of the ohio fingerprinting process. Candidate must complete fingerprints as soon as they sign contract. Travelers who are unresponsive or uncooperative with credentialing are at risk of push/cancel. RTO required with submission, must be built into contract
*Shift & Scheduling:** Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: variable based on unit needs
Float Required: to other MedSurg Oncology units

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: Please request an interview for one match from this facility at a time. You will not interview with the hiring manager if the facility chooses to extend an offer to you for this position. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
