Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
• 3 months of experience with Epic is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Connecticut license (required after submission).
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Declinations not accepted.

Additional Details:
Previous Employment Requirements: Return Staff Policy (must be gone 2 yrs to return as traveler)
Required Skills/Experience:
• 2 years required for submission (within specialty submitting to) We will still sub 1.5 Yrs if Level I or travel exp.
• Required Work Setting Exp: Facility births/month 200-300, Labor & Delivery, High Risk Antepartum, Teaching Hospital.
• Experience with Triage of obstetrical patients required.
• Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration experience required
• Required IV Therapy/Phleb Experience: Maintain central lines (CVC / PICC).
• Required Medication Administration Experience: Anticoagulants, Antihypertensives, Insulin drips, Magnesium Sulfate therapy.
• Required Labor & Delivery Management Skills/Experience: Assist with high risk delivery, Circulate for C-section, Recover C-Section, Sterile vaginal exam.
• Required Professional Skills/Topics: Isolation Precautions/PPE
Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: High risk or low risk pregnant women pre-term and active labor. Cesarean Section.
Types of Patients on Unit: Adults
Equipment Used on Unit: Fetal monitors, radiant warmers, labor beds, OR table
Unit/Facility Details: 10 Beds.
Special Requests: If traveler has any vacation plans during the period between sign date and start date, this must be communicated to the AM at the time of submission to ensure a realistic start date may be requested.
Shift & Scheduling:
• Weekend Requirements: 4 weekend shifts in 6 week schedule, 2 Fridays and 2 Thursdays in 6 week schedule
• Call Requirements: If needed by department.
Details:
• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: Please request an interview for one match from this facility at a time. You will not interview with the hiring manager if the facility chooses to extend an offer to you for this position. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
