Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 10 months of Pediatric Medical Surgical Unit experience within the past 12 months.
• Experience with Epic is preferred from any number of months.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:
RTO must be listed at time of submission.
All positions at Providence Health & Services require that any and all lab items requested during onboarding be completed within 72 hours of signing a contract - no exceptions. This means candidates must be responsive and willing to go to a lab to complete health orders ASAP after signing. Failure to comply may lead to a pushed start or cancellation as assessed by the facility.
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years
Cannot have any hits/suspensions on license or any background hits from any point in the past.
Shift & Scheduling: 4x12 upon request
Special Requests: Open to accommodating block schedule -Holidays: traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year

Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: Screen against Pediatric MS track Special Procedures/Unit Details: Airway management • O2 protocol management • Central/peripheral line management • Recognition and management of dysrhythmias • Isolation precautions • Computerized documentation • Monitor chemo patients preferred • Feedings (gavage, bottle, breastfeeding education) • Hyperbilirubinemia management •
Previous Employment Requirements: Return Staff Policy: 3 months to return as traveler
Housing: Please have your traveler look into housing options in the area, as options may be limited
5 days maximum time off
2 references from last 2 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
