Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required from last 12 months.
• Preferred 12 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:
A minimum of 1 year acute care experience is required to work in acute care facilities. The following are considered acute care facilities: Hospital (General Acute Care as well as Psychiatric, Specialized and Rehabilitation Hospitals, and Long Term Acute Care or LTAC), and Ambulatory Care Facilities.
Any employment gaps greater than 90 days must be explained.
Shift & Scheduling:
Every 3rd weekend.
No mandatory call- only placed on when census is low by rotation.
Required Skills/Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
Required Credentials:
Advanced Fetal Monitoring AWHONN certification can no longer be accepted in place of intermediate. One of the following needed: 1. NCC Electric Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM), 2. Intermediate FHM AWHONN, 3. Intermediate Instructor FHM AWHONN, 4. Advanced Instructor FHM AWHONN, 5. Instructor Trainer FHM AWHONN, 6. Advanced FHM AWHONN, or 7. NCCEFM.
Position Requirements:
Education/Skills
New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial on-boarding requirements are validated through successful completion of the designated organizational entry competency validation and a Perinatal Department-specific competency validation.
Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Perinatal RN Residency or recently practicing in a Perinatal Setting is preferred.
7 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 2 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 2 years (Charge/Lead reference type) - required for submission
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
• Intermediate AWHONN FHM (Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring) or the alternative certification C-EFM (National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties)
