Job Summary and Qualifications

TheRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)worksin the inpatient and/oroutpatient setting providingawide-rangeof treatment,careand evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.You willutilizevarious typesof oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks,tentsand incubators.The patientpopulation may range from newborn to geriatric.You will educatepatientsof treatments, support groups and otheravailable programs.

• You will deliver and assessresponses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.

• You will measure ventilator volumes,pressuresand blood gas analysis.

• You willmonitor, record, and communicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment.

• You willperforma variety of duties related to setting up,operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Bachelors Degree, or Vocational School Graduate, or Associate Degree
