Audiologist: Contract/1099 Opportunity We are seeking to contract an Audiologist inHartford, CT to help ensure our service members get the best care possible. You will play a vital role in the continued care of these men and women, all while growing your current practice. Your Role at Jamshid Tamiry, M.D., P.C., dba QTC Medical Group of Alaska: As a contracted Audiologist, you will provide one-time Compensation & Pension (C&P) and pre-discharge exams for veterans and service members, primarily focusing on evaluating hearing-related conditions. Your role will involve performing and interpreting audiological tests, documenting findings, and completing Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs). These exams are critical in determining the severity of hearing problems and their potential connection to military service. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for administering and interpreting a variety of tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment, such as air and bone conduction, and speech reception and discrimination tests, the site of damage, and effects on comprehension and speech.Evaluate test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational and conduct medical record reviews of past audiograms and documents to determine the likely cause of the hearing loss, and to state the prognosis and address the issues of hearing loss and tinnitus.Operate computerized programs and utilizes application software and databases in order to enter, modify, and access information into/from electronic medical records.Maintain patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA.Responsible for conducting otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment.Lead paraprofessional staff training for Audiology specific skills and certifications as required by all LOB.Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs).
