JOB DESCRIPTION:

Join Cardno’s Oil & Gas Services division in Houston, Texas to play an integral role on Cardno PPI's Engineering team.


Job Description:

Cardno PPI is seeking a Drilling & Completion Engineer in our Houston, Texas office.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to perform the following activities:

  • Drill string and Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) design review and recommendation
  • Landing string design assessment and qualification
  • Drilling & Completion Tool Design Review
  • Casing Design Review
  • Casing Wear Analysis
  • Drilling Operations Analysis
  • Drilling Tubular Fatigue Assessment
  • Heave Induced Dynamic Loading Analysis
  • Support qualification of new technologies (e.g. new drilling tool and equipment)
  • Documentation Review (OCTG, D&C Tools, etc.)
  • Analytical calculations and Finite Element Analysis and Simulations (Structural and Operational)
  • Support Vendor Shop and Mill Audits
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Knowledge of DS-1, NS-1/2/3, API Spec 5CT, 5B, 5DP, 5A5, 5L, 6A, 7G,7-1/2, 7G-2, etc.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Legal right to work in the U.S.  Locals preferable.
