Education Level Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or Chemical, Physical, Biological Science.
OR Associate’s Degree in a Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or Chemical, Physical, Biological Science and minimum of two (2) years’ clinical laboratory experience to qualify for high complexity testing under CLIA regulations.
Licensure/Certification
Must meet certification eligibility upon hire and obtain within one(1) year of employment:
Certification as a Medical Technologist – MT through a nationally recognized accredited agency (i.e. AMT, ASCP, ABOR)

- Testing personnel as a generalist or in a specialized area within the lab.
- Knowledge of QC practices, instrument operation and maintenance, and result reporting.
- Knowledge of proficiency testing standards and practices.
Experience Required:
None, unless minimum of two (2) years’ experience to qualify for high complexity testing under CLIA regulations was accepted in lieu of education requirements stated above.
