A high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of five years’ experience in facility maintenance and/or engineering environment.
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from vendors, contractors and customers/tenants.
Ability to operate proactively in an organized, independent and effective manner. Requires using considerable judgment when performing and planning to perform task.
- Must be able to perform but not limited to the following skills: carpentry, plumbing, masonry, HVAC, electrical, machine repair, facilities layout, painting, and janitorial.
- Required to be familiar with and use all hand tools and power tools common to the skills of a building/facilities engineer.
- Must be able to read and interpret drawing, sketches, instructions and specifications.
- Must feel comfortable with working in a team environment consisting of employees and outside contractors.
Individual must be a team player and have a good ability to work in a cooperative environment. Must be able to work effectively with peers, subordinates, and superiors.
