High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-3 years related experience is required.
Familiar with modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment and is competent in correct English usage and is able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Good mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Must have applicable state drilling licenses from states where company is performing projects or intends to perform projects.
- Possess or able to obtain valid passport.
- Experienced and knowledgeable with various types of drilling equipment and techniques.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities with Company safety rules and procedures.
- Good communication skills, including verbal, written and basic math skills.
- Must have appropriate and current state Driller’s License.
- Must have current CDL driver’s license with motor vehicle record in compliance with Company and DOT policies
- Have good Supervisory skills.
- Must be equipment oriented and understand mechanics of drilling machinery.
- Must be in good physical condition, able to work in all weather conditions, and capable of wearing appropriate health and safety equipment, including but not limited to a respirator.
- Must be physically fit to work in strenuous manual labor position with possible hazardous waste exposure. Must able be able to meet physical parameters of Environmental (Type IV) physical.
- Able to complete OSHA 29CFR1910.120 40 Hour course and appropriate refreshers and other safety courses by written exam
- Able to pass random and annual drug screens with negative results.
- Required to lift heavy equipment and materials, often in excess of 100 lbs.
- Background check results must be acceptable for entrance to government sites and chemical plants, and acceptable for issuance of TWIC card.
TRAINING
- MUST BE ABLE TO COMPLETE OSHA 29CFR1910.120 40-HOUR COURSE AND
- APPROPRIATE REFRESHERS AND OTHER SAFETY COURSES BY WRITTEN EXAM.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Performs heavy work exerting up to 75 pounds of force constantly, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Most work performed outdoors in undeveloped areas.
- Driller shall be capable of pushing a standard two-handle construction wheelbarrow loaded with a typical concrete sample for a distance of 40 feet.
