JOB DESCRIPTION:

Technician - FRM

Deliver product to customer in a safe, timely, damage free and professional manner

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties as requested by branch management or other assigned individual. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operations.

 

Deliveries

  • Deliver materials by the time scheduled by your supervisor
  • Validate directions
  • Unload or assist in unloading material as required
  • Ensure that material is properly secured and within weight limits
  • Ensure delivery of ticket with material and obtain customer signature
  • Communicate with your supervisor throughout the day


Pick-Ups

  • Pick up customer returns and validate that product matches request for credit
  • Pick up local-pickup purchase orders
  • Secure and return packing list(s)


Quality

  • Verify all material has been unloaded and placed at the delivery site, meeting and/or exceeding customer needs
  • Verify the customer’s signature on the delivery ticket. Print name next to signature if necessary
  • Review service receipts with the supervisor for completion, accuracy, and format


Driving

  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations
  • Fuel the truck as necessary
  • Drive personal vehicle to job site when company vehicles are unavailable When the employee uses a personal vehicle to travel to a job, the employee may log and expense miles for the mileage that exceeds their normal home to office commute.
  • Report any vehicle problems, moving violations, accidents and defects to the supervisor immediately


Equipment Operation

  • Proficient and safe operation of all FRM PetroClean equipment, including but not limited to: generators, electric and diesel diaphragm pumps, cartridge and bag filter cart units, flushing skids, and vacuum dehydrators.
  • Ability to install and troubleshoot all FRM equipment listed above, as well as make field connections to customer supplied equipment or PVF.
  • Complete any current or future training and hours of service programs implemented by management for FRM equipment
  • Take samples of synthetic, zinc free, and base oils that require filtration at the RelaDyne warehouse for approved particle count
  • Purify & dehydrate all industrial synthetic, zinc free, and base oil inventory before they are delivered to the customer


Other

  • Compliance with company uniform policy
  • Assist in warehouse operations as necessary
  • Ability to adapt to the ever-changing work schedule needed to satisfy a customer base and industry that operates 24/7
  • Work nights, weekends, & overtime as required by your supervisor, and be available for on-call or unscheduled shifts when needed to meet customer requirements
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring customer loyalty
  • Abide by all polices, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
  • Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company
  • Possess and maintain an unrestricted, valid driver’s license.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Solid grasp of mechanical skills. Ability to connect and disconnect piping, fittings, flanges and valves


PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS:

  • Attendance (number/percentage of days present for work)
  • Safety (number of days without violation or injury)
  • Proficiency on FRM procedures and equipment and ability to operate PetroClean equipment without supervision
  • Productivity (combination of speed and accuracy on projects, ability to rig up and down quickly, and perform projects in a timely fashion)


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lifting 50 pound objects constantly, and 100 pound objects occasionally is required
  • Get in and out of the truck several times per day. This includes climbing up on top of the vehicle or trailer to connect and detach equipment.
