Inspects and oversees high volume of project work completed by flooring installer subcontractors while being liaison between builder and sales.  Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance by making appropriate recommendations for action.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory of people responsibilities; however, is responsible for requirements of subcontractors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Includes the following and other duties as assigned.
• Assesses daily assignments and the schedules of the subcontractors according to skill and workload
• Pre-walks jobs to determine status of project and follow-up action
• Inspects completed work and work-in-progress for conformance to standards
• Becomes knowledgeable of the quality and time for completion of each installation crew
• Resolves installation issues affecting quality and schedule
• Responds to customer service timely so follow-up requirements can be met
• Assures quality service of installation from start to finish
• Quantifies material measures and shortages
• Material logistics; tracks inventory of supplies and equipment according to requisition
• Ensures that all work orders are signed as “complete” and approves for subcontractor payment

• Experience in customer service, field service or other applicable positions within residential construction industry; flooring installation (ceramic, carpet and wood)
• Knowledge of current industry standards, trends and installation methods
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; prefer bi-lingual English/Spanish
• Ability to multitask
• Computer skills for data entry
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as measurements, percentages, write-offs, invoice totals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Provides valid driver license that has been issued for a minimum of 5 years; pass background, MVR check, and pre-employment drug screen.

PHYSICAL and OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit and talk or hear; able to walk job site, which can require climbing, bending, stretching body. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
