Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking full-time Skilled Highway Maintenance Technicians to perform advanced maintenance operations in the San Antonio, TX area during the day shift and night shift. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway drainage maintenance and TMA driving, and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Hires will be based in Adkins, TX and will begin training March 1, 2021.

Schedule:

• Full time
• Day and Night shift available.
• Day shift hours are typically 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Must be able to work weather events such as snow, ice, and floods.
• Must also be flexible to work rotating shifts according to client requests.

Required Experience:

• Drainage and scuppers (1 year experience)
• TMA driving (1 year experience)
• Exposure to using shovels, weed trimming machinery, brooms, & various small hand tools
• Air compressor operations familiarity
• Minimum 2 years of related experience
• Construction or Roadway maintenance experience
• Guardrail and Sign installation experience
• Concrete forming/repair experience
• MOT (Traffic control certifications/courses)
• Wheel Loader, Skidsteer, Fork Lift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator

Preferred Experience:

• Roadway maintenance experience
• CDL license a plus
• Bilingual: English/Spanish (read/write) preferred but not required

Clean driving record is essential

Must pass criminal background check

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
