Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Labor & Delivery Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• BSN completion preferred
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Additional Details:
Perinatal Nurse - Required
Oral swab for THC metabolites on day 1
Required Certification: Fetal Heart Monitoring - Does not have to be AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced); will also accept NCC
Will care for high-risk patients such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and multiples (twins only)
Day shift will do outpatient fetal stress tests.
Nurses do it all: Pre-labor/triage, delivery, post-partum, and nursery care.
Willing to train in nursery and lactation skills.
RN will attend c-section and will recover mom and baby.
RN needs to have significant resuscitation experience for newborns.
May float to ER or Acute Care floor as a sitter and will not take a patient assignment.
The Perinatal Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients through the Labor and Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum and Nursery
The Nurse performs antenatal testing, monitors maternal and neonatal wellbeing during labor
Required:
Completion of an accredited Nursing program
5 years or greater experience - Preferred
If a Barton employee wants to transition to practice in the Family Birthing Center, then minimum two years inpatient nursing experience will be considered
7 days maximum time off
1 reference from last 3 years (Any reference type) - required for submission
1 reference from last 3 years (Manager/Supervisor reference type) - required for submission
Proof of identification required
Certifications:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• STABLE (Sugar, Temperature, Airway. Blood Pressure, Lab work and Emotional Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
