Experience:
• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
• 6 months of Trauma Level 1 facility is required from the last 3 years
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.

Every other weekend
Pathways modules will be completed ahead of time. (They take 8-10 hours to complete on average)
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: “Very high acuity, high paced unit. Patients that may be a 1:1 at other facilities, may not be at Stockton. A lot of OB, oncology, & general MedSurg ICU. Overflow CVA, Whipples, post-abdomens, some hypothermia”
Experience or ‘Must have’ skills: Must be flexible - assignments can change anytime during shift.
Holiday Requirements: 2 out of 3 major holidays (winter holidays). Other holidays are as needed & would fall into perm staff rotation
No call or standby requirement
Floating Requirements: Travelers are the 1st to float. Only floating would be to the other ICUs or to the ER for inpatient ICU holds. Could be floated to another ICU anytime during the shift.
General Orientation is generally about a week long.
